Many people travelled there for sport to stalk and shoot, or just to travel around and discover the wonderful scenery and ruined castles. Inevitably they were tempted to buy the trinkets on offer. Pebbles were sourced in the river beds and polished and shaped to fit in to brooches, necklaces and earrings.
