A smart 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) More gold ring that was made in Birmingham in 1904. It has been set with three well matched mid blue colour sapphires. On either side of the central sapphireBlue is the best-known colour for this gemstone but it can be found in all colours of the spectrum. After diamond, sapphire is the hardest gemstone.
More are two white diamonds. The shankThe circle of metal that attaches to the decorative part of a ring and encircles the finger. More has lovely scroll work decoration on the side. This is known as “carved half hoop decoration” and was quite common practice in the EdwardianJewellery made in the Edwardian era (1901-1914). More and VictorianJewellery made in the the Victorian era (1839-1901). More periods. It would make an ideal engagement ring.
