Victorian 18ct Gold Two Stone Opal Carved Half Hoop Ring with Diamonds in Between

466W
160 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A stunning 18ct gold ring that has been claw set with two well matched colourful opals that display vivid flashes of blue, green and red. In between are two claw set transition cut diamonds with a further claw set diamond at either end.  The shank is a called a carved half hoop because of the detailed scroll motifs on either side.  It is a beautifully made Victorian ring and was assayed in 1898.
