A good quality 18ct gold Victorian ring set with five bright white old mine cut diamonds with a total weight of 2.05 carats. The shank is called a carved half hoop because of the scrollwork decoration along the sides. There are tiny rose diamonds on either side of the large diamonds, which was a Victorian invention and gives the ring a better line. It would make a marvellous engagement ring.
