Victorian 15ct Gold Ring set with Two Heart Shaped Almandine Garnets

102R
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 15ct gold early Victorian ring that was made circa 1860. It has been set with three almandine garnets which were popular at that time. They have a lovely purplish red hue. The two side garnets are heart shaped and the centre garnet is oval shaped and set into an ornate gallery with scroll work sides and ornate shoulders.

It is such a pretty ring and would originally have been given as a token of love
