This is a stunning 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) More gold ring that we all love. It was made circa 1920-1935 and is of French origin. The workmanship and design are excellent and are in the form of a feather that curves around the top of the ring . It has been tramline set with calibre cutTypically small, fancy-cut faceted stones in the shape of rectangles, squares, oblongs or other specialty shapes cut to fit very closely together in a setting to create a design that often outlines or accents a larger motif. Calibre-cut comes from the word calibration which means to divide or mark with gradations. This style of stone cutting was made popular... More rubies that meet the scalloped and paveA style of setting in which the stones are set as close together as possible to cover the entire field of the setting for a cobblestone (or “paved”) effect where the setting does not show. More set diamonds half way across the top.
