Edwardian 18ct Gold Five Stone Opal Ring with Rose Diamond Points

435Z/PR
80 Admirers

A beautiful 18ct gold ring made circa 1900-1910. It is set five well matched precious opals with a strong play of colour, notably of vivid green and blue. Play of colour is the optical effort seen in opals where they reflect a range of colours when light is shone on them, opals are able to exhibit this effect due to their unique silica structure internally.

The ring also features rose cut diamond points on either side of the opals that add a little extra sparkle to this ring.
