Early 20th Century French 18ct Gold Ring with Fleur-de-Lys & Double Crowned Hearts Motif

947U
638 Admirers

A smart 18ct gold ring that was made in France circa 1910-1920. In the centre is a crowned double heart. On either side are two fleur-de-lys. The fleur-de-lys motif is closely related to French Catholicism as it symbolises purity and chastity. The virgin Mary is often depicted holding the flower. It has also been used by French Royalty and represents the Monarchs divine right to rule. This ring may have been used as a wedding ring. This ring can be sized but there will be an extra charge for the gold if sizing up.
