An unusual sapphire and diamond cluster ring that was made in the 1920s in France. it is platinum and has been rub over set with a stunning mid blue sapphire that is most likely of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin. Around it is a claw set diamond hoop interrupted at either end with a claw set half hoop of diamonds. The shoulders have also been claw set with diamonds. There is millgrain detail throughout.
It would make a fabulous engagement or dress ring.
