This is a pretty ring that was made in the 1920s. The oval shaped sapphire has well matched and good white old European cut diamonds on either side. The sapphire weighs one carat and the diamonds are approximately 40 points each (0.80 carats in total). One of the lovely things about this ring is the pierced scrolled gallery setting and the double claws that hold the stones. It would make an impressive engagement ring.
