An unusual ring that was made in the 1920s. It is 18ct gold with a platinum top and has been set with a deep Royal blue rectangular cut sapphire. The shank has been set with diamonds and gently widens as it meets the sapphire. The sides of the ring have been engraved with a continuous run of laurel leaves. The laurel leaf is a symbol of strength, honour and endurance, but also of peace nobility and harmony. There is millgrain detail throughout.
It would make an amazing engagement ring.
