Victorian Silver Collar with Fern & Leaf Motif

492R
524 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A good articulated silver collar that was made circa 1880. Nowadays this style of collar is worn on its own, but in the victorian period it would most likely have had a large oval locket suspended from the loop. It is a pretty design with alternating fern and leaf motifs. The fern stands for “Sincerity” in antique jewellery.
