Victorian Pietra Dura Silver ​& Gold Round Brooch

A finely made silver and gold brooch inlaid with different coloured stones. Even the stems of the flowers are inlaid. This type of work was time consuming and highly skilled. It was made circa 1880 in Ashford, Derbyshire. The trade was backed by the Duke of Devonshire.
