A pretty 62.5% pure gold (or 625 parts pure gold and 375 parts other metals). Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. gold heart shaped pendant with a ribbon above it. It has been bright cut engraved with a complicated series of patterns. It was made circa 1860-1880. On the reverse is a glazed locket section that you can pull out and insert a photograph. It would look lovely worn on a simple trace link chain.
