A good looking 18ct gold ring set with diamonds in a flower cluster with split leaf diamond set shoulders. It was made circa 1860-1880. The top is silver as platinum was only discovered at the end of the nineteenth century, so silver was used as a setting for stones in English jewellery before 1900. It is such a pretty design and would make a wonderful engagement ring.
