An opulent and striking engagement ring. This Victorian triple clusterA group of small diamonds or colourful gemstones grouped together to form a cluster, mimicking the look of a larger gem. Often this group can surround a larger center stone. More ring likely dates to around 1870, and features three Royal Blue sapphires sitting dominant in a yellow gold collet setting against a bed of bright little cushion cutA square or rectangular cut stone with rounded corners. Also called Antique Cut. More diamonds. The style of the silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
More mount for the clusters is suggestive of earlier GeorgianJewellery made in the Georgian era (1714-1830). More jewellery, which is no surprise for this period, and adds a certain charm to the piece. Sitting low across the entire width of the finger, it is a comfortable fit and suited for everyday wear.
