Rare Find
It is always exciting to see a 19th century ring with an old mine cut fancy yellow diamond. They are difficult to find but here is a lovely example. It was made circa 1880-1900 and has been claw set with a one carat fancy yellow diamond in the centre. Around it, on a lower level, are eight old mine cut diamonds in unusual cut away settings like petals of a flower. The shank has dot and line decoration on the shoulders. What a perfect engagement ring.
