Victorian 18ct Gold & Blue Enamel Locket set with Natural Split Pearls & Rose Diamonds

312 Y

Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a beautiful 18ct gold locket that was made circa 1869-1880. It is a criss cross design and has been set with nine large natural split pearls. interspersed with small rose diamonds and engraved areas.  The enamel is a wonderful turquoise blue which sent a secret message to the receiver to “Forget me not” after the flower of the same name. It hinges open to reveal two compartments.

It is in very good condition and would look great worn on a medium length gold chain.
