It is composed of two blue enamel flowers each one has a natural pearl in the centre, and one pink enamel flower with a claw set diamond in the centre. The flowers are interspersed with green enamel leaves and pink enamel buds. It was made circa 1897 when Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee was celebrated. This type of enamelling was popular in the 1880s and 1890s. The 15ct gold Prince of Wales twist chain has also been set with eight natural pearls and has a hidden barrel clasp. There is also a hinged section to the reverse of the pink flower to enable another pendant to be attached.
A very attractive and quite rare piece of jewellery.
