An interesting 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) More gold ring with a silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
More top that was made circa 1680-1700. It is from the late Stuart period and is a rare survival complete with all the original rose diamonds. There is black enamelA pigmented glass-like material used in powdered form and fused onto the metal surface of a piece of jewellery. More to the shouldersThe point on a ring where the central section meets the shank or band, often carved, decorated or inlaid with small diamond accent stones. More and also behind the top.
