Georgian Scottish 9ct Gold, Flat Cut Garnet & Natural Split Pearl Ring with Thistle Motif Shoulders

Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 9ct gold ring that was made circa 1820. It has been set with a flat cut almandine garnet with a natural split pearl on either side. The shoulders are the interesting part of this ring as each side has a gold engraved thistle, so it most likely is of Scottish origin. A lovely ring to wear on its own or stacked with others
