They were then retailed by Edward Tessier and come in a Morocco leather on wood case with gold tooled work and silk interior. The buckles are fine examples of late Georgian workmanship, circa 1820. They have been set with individually cut almandineA variety of red garnet that is transparent and commonly deep crimson with tinges of purple. Its colour can resemble that of ruby. It is cut in several forms; when cut en cabochon (usually as hollow cabochon to lighten the colour), it is called carbuncle. More garnets that are foiled to the reverse creating a wonderful rich glimmer. They are silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
