Georgian Diamond Cluster Earrings

638T
80 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful pair of diamond earrings that were made circa 1820-1840. The centre cushion cut diamonds weigh approximately half a carat each. Around each one are nine old mine cut diamonds making a total estimated weight of just under three carats. At some point they have been converted to a pair of stud earrings by adding 18ct white gold to the backs and posts and scroll fittings. We often see this with antique jewellery, but it is part of its history, and as with these earrings the conversion works well with todays fashions.

I would happily wear these every day!
