It says in gold within the white enamelA pigmented glass-like material used in powdered form and fused onto the metal surface of a piece of jewellery. More border “Edwd (Edward) Sawbridge. Arm: Ob (died)13. Oct : 1775 . AET: (aged) 93”. The white enamel means that Edward was unmarried. On either side of the enamel is a fine ridged edging. GeorgianJewellery made in the Georgian era (1714-1830). More mourning bands are generally very comfortable to wear as they are curved on the inside.
