Rare Find
A very pretty floral ruby and diamond cluster ring set in 18ct gold that was made circa 1820. The centre stone in this ring is an old mine cut diamond that weighs approx 15 points. Surrounding the diamond are six pear shaped well matched rubies. This design is more unusual from this period as we more commonly see a ruby surrounded by diamonds. The shoulders feature ornate decorative engraving that continues around the shank. A beautiful example of the handmade work from the early 19th century. It would make a lovely dress ring or a unique engagement ring. We would not recommend resizing this ring as it has the original continuous repousse design around the shank
