French Belle Epoque 18ct Gold, Peridot & Rose Diamond Marquise Ring
An unusual and rather beautiful 18ct gold ring set with a marquise shaped peridot. Peridot is named after the French word “peritot”, meaning gold, because the mineral can vary towards this colour. Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage. It is surrounded by small rose diamonds with more rose diamonds in trefoil shapes in the shoulders. It was made circa 1900-1910.
