Edwardian 18ct Gold Ring with Snake Detail set with a Peridot & Diamonds

Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910.  In the centre is a rectangular cut peridot with a rub over platinum set small diamond on either side. The shank is composed of two snakes that meet the top. Snake rings were popular in the GeorgianVictorian and Edwardian eras and signify the union of two people in eternal love.  The peridot symbolises good luck and protection and is the birthstone for august.

A perfect and unusual engagement ring.
