This is a really pretty EdwardianJewellery made in the Edwardian era (1901-1914). More ring. It is 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) More gold with a platinumDerives from the Spanish word 'platina' meaning 'little silver'. More that is surrounded by small rose diamonds. Then there is a scalloped design outer bandA type of ring which is an equal width all the way round. They are traditionally used for wedding rings.
More of rose diamonds. There is further millgrain detail on the platinum. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. This ring would be an ideal engagement ring.
