Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum Ring set with a Peridot with Diamond Set Shoulders

957W
160 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A good looking 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1910-1920. It has been claw set with a beautiful apple green rectangular cut peridot that has an approximate weight of nearly three carats. On either side are three diamonds set in platinum rub over settings. Peridot is named after the French word “peritot”, meaning gold, because the mineral can vary towards this colour. Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage.

It would make an amazing dress or engagement ring.
