An unusual 18ct gold ring that was assayed in Chester in 1898. It has raised letters that spell the word “Mizpah”. In Hebrew this means ‘watchtower’ and is loosely interpreted as “May God watch over you”. It has also been claw set with a ruby in a diamond shaped setting that further underlines love for the person who is to wear the ring.
