Edwardian 18ct Gold Marquise Ring set with Brown & White Diamonds

796Y
763 Admirers

An unusual 18ct gold marquise shaped ring with a pretty reeded shank that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been claw set with three fancy coloured diamonds that are a deep champagne or cognac colour and have an approximate total weight of 1.15 carats. Around them are twenty graduated claw set old mine cut diamonds.
The Argyle Mine in Western Australia produces the majority of the world’s brown diamonds so the stones are likely from there.

Today brown diamonds, namely cognac and champagne diamonds are popular stones for engagement rings.
