Edwardian 15ct Gold & Silver Enamel & Rose Diamond Cockerel Tie Pin

884N
445 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual tie pin of a cockerel that was made circa 1900-1910. It is beautifully modelled and has been set with rose diamonds with a cabochon ruby eye and a red enamelled comb. In English jewellery the cockerel or rooster was a symbol of courage and fortitude. In the Chinese zodiac, it conveys fortune, fidelity and protection. So this little tie pin is quite special. All our tie pins come with a stopper at the end of the pin.
