Early Victorian 18ct Gold Signet Ring with Bloodstone Intaglio of a Crest

An unusual 18ct gold signet ring that was made circa 1840. It has been set with a bloodstone that has an intaglio of a crest with an eagle above a shield with three stars and urns and the latin motto “Beneficiorum memor”. which translates to “Mindful beneficiaries”. It appears to be the Kelham family crest.

It is an impressive look when worn.
