Early Victorian 15ct Gold Locket Ring with Enamel & Diamond Forget me Not

An unusual 15ct gold ring that was made circa 1840 and commemorates Anne Service who died on the 3rd of june aged 76 years. It features a forget me not flower set with small rose diamonds with a Royal blue enamel background. The top hinges open to reveal a tiny glazed locket. The shoulders have been engraved with ivy leaves that literally mean “Cling to me”.

Rings such as this were commissioned by the family and engraved with the deceased details.
