More sapphireBlue is the best-known colour for this gemstone but it can be found in all colours of the spectrum. After diamond, sapphire is the hardest gemstone.
More. It is surrounded by well matched small white diamonds. It is in the best style and quality of the period with millgrain work around the sapphire. Millgrain literally means a thousand grains and and takes the form of strings of tiny bead shapes made using a burling tool. It was made in Sweden circa 1900-1910 and would be ideal as an engagement ring.
