An unusual Art NouveauA movement within the arts, particularly jewellery, evolving out of a response to mass production and the industrial revolution (1890-1915). Jewellery of this period was heavily influenced by nature and femininity, with its sweeping lines and organic motifs. More 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) More gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It was probably made in Belgium as I have seen similar examples over the years. It is typical of the style with stylised tendrils set with rose diamonds set in to platinumDerives from the Spanish word 'platina' meaning 'little silver'. More in the form of a flower at the top. It would be an ideal dress ring.
It’s really hard to find these original Art Nouveau rings and this one is lovely
