His factory was based in Phorzheim in the Black Forrest, Germany. He specialised in high quality silver jewellery studded with graduated marcasite or other semi precious stones. This lightly gilded silver bracelet is a typical example of what he produced.
It is well made and an unusual fluid continuous design set with marcasite and raised silver wire swirls.
