Art Deco Platinum, Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Earrings

A pretty pair of diamond and sapphire cluster earrings. The sapphires are a lovely blue colour and well matched as are the diamonds. The raised platinum work around the sapphire is called millgrain.  It is created by the use of a a millgrain wheel which is a small, decorated wheel that leaves a trail of miniature balls when rolled along a sharp edge of metal. The diamonds are claw set. They were made circa 1920.
