This is a really stunning Art DecoA movement within the arts between the two Great Wars (1920-1935) across Europe and the US, characterized by its clean, geometric designs. The aesthetic was intended to celebrate an age of progress and the modernity of the machine. More platinumDerives from the Spanish word 'platina' meaning 'little silver'. Acknowledged since the 1900s, platinum's durability and natural brightness has been and still is today highly treasured A metallic element prized for its rarity, whiteness, high tensile strength and insusceptibility to corrosion, platinum first became widely used in jewellery in the late ninete... More ring that was made in the early 1920s. It is a classic design for the period with a geometric style set with bright white diamonds and rectangular cut rubies on the corners. It also has millgrain detailing to the platinum edges. The millgrain (thousand grains) was achieved by the use of a knurling tool to make the small grains of platinum, hence the name. It sits low on the finger so is a very practical ring to wear on an every day basis. It would make a wonderful engagement ring.
