Art Deco Platinum Ring set with a Zircon with Stepped Diamond set Shoulders

Written by Olly Gerrish

A lovely platinum ring that was made in the 1920s and has been claw set with a zircon. It is an amazing stone that has a known weight of nearly three and a half carats. Zircons were used a lot during the Art Deco period and are one of the oldest stones that have been used in jewellery for over 2000 years. They occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues. The zircon in this ring is an electric colour blue that contrasts well with the step cut shoulders set with small diamonds.

It would make a wonderful engagement or dress ring.
