A beautiful example of a typically Art DecoA movement within the arts between the two Great Wars (1920-1935) across Europe and the US, characterized by its clean, geometric designs. The aesthetic was intended to celebrate an age of progress and the modernity of the machine. More ring, a central coloured stone, in this instance a glistening oval-cut pink topazIt comes in many colours, including brown, green. blue, yellow, red, pink and orange. Topaz is very hard, being 8 on the Mohs scale, with a high cleavage. More, framed by baguetteFrench for “rod.” A type of rectangular step-cut comprising fourteen parallel, narrow facets running the length of the stone. Popular in mid-century eternity bands. More diamonds on either side.
Precious topaz comes in a diverse array of gorgeous colours, pink being one of the rarer and most highly desirable colours. The soft hue is not overbearing and the baguette diamonds add a subtle sparkle when worn. Due the hard wearing nature of topaz, this ring is suitable for everyday wear and would make a wonderful engagement ring or dress ring.
