A spectacular 18ct white gold ring that was made in Sweden. It has been set with an stunning very large aquamarine that has a known weight of 12.60 carats. It is surrounded by diamonds that have an approximate weight of 1.60 carats.
Aquamarine is a pale blue transparent variety of the mineral beryl and known as the March birthstone. It has a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8, making it durable for jewellery. Derived from Latin for “seawater,” its colour ranges from light blue to greenish-blue due to iron content. The aquamarine in this ring is a gorgeous pale blue colour.
Historically an aquamarine is thought to symbolise youth, hope, and fidelity, and to keep sailors safe.
It comes in it’s original case retailed by Holm & Hallgren, Stockholm.
