Art Deco 18ct Gold & Platinum, Zircon & Diamond Cluster Ring

460T
200 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 18ct gold ring with a platinum top that was made circa 1920. it has been set with a beautiful zircon surrounded by twelve small and well matched good white diamonds within scalloped settings. Zircons were used a lot during the Art Deco period and are one of the oldest stones that have been used in jewellery for over 2000 years. They occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues. Electric blue is the most favourite and stunning colour as in this ring. It sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear.
