Written by Olly Gerrish

A good looking ring that was made in the Art Deco period in the 1920s. It is 18ct gold with a platinum top. It has been set with a zircon surrounded by six small diamonds. Zircons were fashionable during the Art Deco period onwards. They are one of the oldest stones that have been used in jewellery for 2000 years. They occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues. It sits low on the finger so it would be ideal to wear as a dress or engagement ring
