Rare Find
An impressive Art DecoA movement within the arts between the two Great Wars (1920-1935) across Europe and the US, characterized by its clean, geometric designs. The aesthetic was intended to celebrate an age of progress and the modernity of the machine. More ring that was made in America circa 1930. It has been set with a large amethystAmethyst is the purple variety of macrocrystalline quartz. From the Greek amethystos meaning 'a remedy against drunkedness', it was believed to prevent intoxication and ensure the wearer retains a clear head and quick wit. It was once considered as valuable as ruby, sapphire and emerald. More which is a lovely pale pink colour known as “Rose de France” which is a variety of amethyst with a light pinkish hue. It is also known as lavender amethyst. Around it is a zig zag design set with small rose diamonds within millgrained settings. It looks amazing when worn.
