Rare Find
An 18ct gold and diamond marquise shape ring with decorated pierced work shoulders. In the centre it is set with a peach coloured diamond and a pear shaped diamond at either end. On either side are smaller graded diamonds. The peach coloured diamond weighs around three quarter of a carat and is surrounded by a gold setting as opposed to the other white diamonds which are in platinum settings.There is further decoration with millgrain work on the edge of the settings. The millgrain decoration is the form of tiny bead shapes that are raised using a knurling tool and which add intricate detail and gives the ring an elegant look. It is very stylish and has been beautifully designed. It was made circa 1910-1930.
