Free Worldwide DeliveryThe reason I bought this brooch is that the opalOpals occur in a range of body colours from white, black or grey, bright orangey red and a pale watery colour. The most precious opals show strong colour contrast and generally have a dark body colour with a vivid array of colour play. More is a really good stone. It is a big lively stone and displays flashes of red, green and blue. The brooch was made in the 1920s when opals were very much in vogue and this would have been a “show off” brooch to wear.
