Rare Find
A very stylish ring that was made in the 1920s in Austria. It is typical of the art Deco period with it’s geometric design. It has been set with two well matched white diamonds, one above the other within a hexagonal band of onyx. On either side are two small diamonds with millgrain detail in the white gold settings. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. It would make a wonderful engagement ring as it sits low on the finger so is practical to wear..
