A stunning 14ct58.5% pure gold (or 585 parts pure gold to 415 parts other metals) More gold ring that was made most likely in Austria circa 1920. It is typical of the Art DecoA movement within the arts between the two Great Wars (1920-1935) across Europe and the US, characterized by its clean, geometric designs. The aesthetic was intended to celebrate an age of progress and the modernity of the machine. More period in the choice of stones and the geometric octagonal style. In the centre is a cabochonA polished, not faceted, dome shaped stone - either round or oval with a flat polished base, primarily used as a cut for phenomenal stones such as cat's eyes and stars.
