Belcher Link

A type of chain whereby each link is at 180 degrees to the next. The ‘Belcher’ was a type of spotted handkerchief associated with the boxer, James Belcher (champion between 1800-1803). It was often secured with a D-shaped ring, suggesting the origin of the chain style.
